RAINY DAY TALES Vol 1

Open date : 02 / 01 / 2022

Submissions between 50 and 5000 words please    Will close when filled

We’re looking for general fiction, short stories which are not part of a theme, just an absorbing read. You get the idea? There's probably hundreds of stories languishing in archives where you'd written something and not found a home for it... dust them off, read them through, if you still like them, chances are we will – or write us some new ones… The title for the anthology was chosen to create a different feel from our usual themed publications. So, if you've got the stories, we've got the pages. Let's see what you can do with Rainy Day Tales Vol 1. What do you have in your archives?

Info from our editor: I'm one of those compulsive writers who have written all their lives. Through school and out the other side, still writing... add in compulsive reading and the result is an editor who can tackle most anything you might need edited at some time in your future. I have taken a copy editing course, but these days I turn editing reading into tuition for the writer, it's a lot easier to see where writers can improve if I work on the stories they send. There's also the option of my writer's handbook, How Many Miles To Babylon? available through fiction4all. I also write themed books...

Terms: I am actively seeking stories under 5000, subject matter is wide open. Give us a try, we can only say no as gently as possible but with such a wide theme, we're sure a lot of stories will fit in perfectly. Payment rates are in the terms document at the top of this page. If you are in my short short anthologies you will get publicity for your writing name. These short story anthologies are popular and fill quickly so you see yourself in print in record time. So, stories under 5000 words, no headers or footers, please. This is essential, I can't take them out. Limited bad language but OK when appropriate. You have the option of feedback if the story is rejected. Send me something soon!
